Win 2 Tickets to Exclusive Alys Fowler Talk at Yeo Valley Organic Gardens

Exciting news, folks!

Alys Fowler

I have two exclusive tickets to give away to an Alys Fowler talk on Edible Gardening, to be held at the Yeo Valley Organic Garden and Tea room. That’s a pair of tickets that you could win to attend a talk by Alys and tour of the Organic Gardens, worth £150!

All you need to do is enter the competition below, and be available at very short notice to travel down to Blagdon, Somerset for the talk and garden tour on Friday 13th April, from 10:30am – 3:30pm. The talk is approximately 90 minutes long at the Lakewood Centre at Yeo Valley, and afterwards you will be able to undertake a tour of the organic gardens, and perhaps visit the tea room too if you so desire!

Before entering, please consider that if you and your +1 can’t make this specific date and time of Friday 13th April 10:30am – 3:30pm, then please refrain from entering the competition, as the tickets cannot be transferred. The winner will be announced on Wednesday morning at 11am, so when I say available at short notice, I mean it!

TO BE IN WITH A CHANCE OF WINNING 2 TICKETS TO ALYS FOWLER’S EDIBLE GARDENS TALK, SIMPLY SEND A PICTURE OF YOUR OWN ‘SMALLEST SMALLHOLDING’ ENDEAVOURS TO THE FOLLOWING EMAIL ADDRESS:

Your ‘smallest smallholding’ picture endeavour can be anything – sowing seeds, wildlife gardening, flowers, pigs, hens, kitchen gardens, fruit trees – just make it a bit artistic and interesting, and you may well be in with a chance to win these exclusive tickets! The tickets are allocated for Smallest Smallholding readers, so feel free to enter as many times as you wish.

Be prepared to check your emails on Wednesday morning, as will initially make contact with the winner by email address. If we receive no acknowledgement from the winner by 5pm Wednesday 11th April, then we’ll choose another winner.

However, if you’re not a winner this time there’s still an opportunity to book tickets for other events happening throughout this year the Yeo Valley organic gardens, including:

  • 4th May – Flowers: Planning and Planting for Continuous Colour with Toby Buckland
  • 22nd June – Transforming your Garden with Bunny Guinness
  • 13th July – Herbs: More Than Just A Garnish with Jekka McVicar

Good luck! Winner announced on Wednesday at 11am. Go forth and snap away!

About The Yeo Valley Talks

Money raised from the Yeo Valley garden workshops will go towards the Southern Spinal Injuries Trust and Horatio’s Garden, the planned rehabilitation garden at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre in Salisbury, which is the only specialist spinal injury centre in the South and South West. The garden is named in memory of Horatio Chapple, a student who was killed in a polar bear attack in Norway last August. Horatio was a volunteer at the Spinal Treatment Centre and had helped with research that identified patients’ needs for a garden.
