Hi Lucy saw your article in the homefarmer. Its a brilliant mag. Glad you have started with chickens etc. I have always wanted to do something like this but all my life (coming from a town) I had negative response until 14 yrs ago my husband, kids and I upstakes and moved to Scotland, We had a small house with no garden and at last after hitting the big 60 we now have a cottage in the country, near Brechin in Angus and not far from the Glens and we have a greenhouse, polytunnel and yes you have guessed it CHICKENS and I am enjoying every minute. Had some ducks on order and will be getting them at the end of July. We are vegetarians but like you the animals become pets and part of the family. We are now looking at ideas as to how to warm the tunnel in winter (very cold here) to continue growing instead of having to rely on the shops so will have to sort this out. Would appreicate any ideas.
Regards Cindy

Cool, I remember the 'Our Price' shops... They kind of vanished all of a sudden a while ago didn't they. I assume they got eaten by someone like HMV or Virgin...

Thanks for the tag too, I shall do a post like this later in the week all being well! :)
