Cover your eyes…it’s happening already, before Hallowe’en, before Bonfire Night and before the leaves have even fallen from the trees.
That’s right. The Christmas ads. They’re already appearing on TV. NOOOOOOOoooooooooooo!
NOT YET, NOT YET, NOT YET!
EDIT: More thoughts on this at Lucy In the Sky With Hens, my other blog full of random thoughts.

Heard the first Christmas song playing in a shop on Friday. I had to walk out there and then and it put me in a lousy mood for the rest of the day.
I HATE XMAS.

I love Christmas!
But I do prefer it at the end of December, not part way through the autumn.
I am avoiding TV and supermarkets ( I always avoid TV but I trying to avoid supermarkets too now) but my own town is against me here, there are actually putting up our Christmas lights! and they dont take them down again until the end of March. I kid you not. They only light then for about 6 weeks but for pretty much half a year they hang over us dark and gloomy.
Christmas music in shops should be banned outside of December. Not doe customers but for those poor shop assistants. They hear Slades Merry Christmas, every hour for the entire of November and December must be about ready to throttle someone by Christmas day! Ah, the spirit of Christmas.

Oh dear, I must confess to having already bought some Christmas cards - don’t shoot me! I hate having to get everything sorted in one big rush so tend to buy/make gifts throughout the year….. I’ve also already made my mincemeat and am just itching to get started on the christmas cake and christmas pudding! Is that very wicked….?

Not at all Kittyboo…on the contrary, v. sensible. But I do wonder why it has to be such a big ConsumerChristmas…why do people feel so compelled to go mad?
Lizzie: I know what you mean about the tunes…I have worked in two shops during my employment history and both times have been ready to repeatedly bang my head against a brick wall or throttle someone by the end of a day punctuated by the same songs.
Soilman: I would avoid shopping from hereonin until about Dec 23rd.
Compostwoman: Me too. Can’t take it.
